Depeche Mode
(May 7th, Hayarkon Park, Tel Aviv)

The English electronic rock band was formed in 1980 and has since released thirteen studio albums. The last album "Delta Machine" was released on March 22nd and received positive reviews. Depeche Mode first performed in Israel 4 years ago for 50,000 fans in Ramat Gan's stadium.
Tickets for the concert begin at 295 ILS.

La Traviata (The Fallen Woman) Opera
(May 11th - 18th, the Israeli Opera, Tel Aviv)

This opera was written by Giuseppe Verdi in three acts, based on the play "La Dame aux Cam lias", which was adapted from Alexandre Dumas' novel. The opera depicts the love of Violetta Valery, a famed courtesan, for the nobleman Alfredo Germont and its tragic ending.
Ticket prices are 175-428 ILS.

Israel Philharmonic Orchestra
(May 21st, Tel Aviv Museum)

Tel Aviv Museum is hosting a symphonic series with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. The musicians who will be performing are: Eyal Ein Habar as conductor, Daishin Kashimoto on violin, Amihai Grosz on viola, Claudio Bohorquez on cello and Katia Skanavi on piano.

Douglas Gordon Exhibit

Tel Aviv Museum is displaying the work of the contemporary Scottish artist, who won the Turner prize in 1996. Gordon's work is diverse and includes video installations on multiple screens, photos, objects, sculptures and paintings. The exhibit closes on May 26th.

Harun Farocki Exhibit

Tel Aviv Museum is displaying an exhibit called Imagination in Action of the work of the German artist and filmmaker. Farocki's work deals with imagination, memory and the status of imagery. The exhibit closes on May 25th.
