Tel Aviv Highlights: December 2012
Alanis Morissette Concert
(December 3rd, Nokia Arena, Tel Aviv)
The singer/songwriter is coming to Israel for one concert, which wraps up her Guardian Angel tour for her new sixth album "Havoc and Bright Lights" (not considering her 2 first Canadian albums). The new album deals with social and spiritual issues, as well as motherhood.
Mark Lanegan Concert
(December 10th, Barby, Tel Aviv)
The Rock and Roll singer will perform in Israel for the 5th time, promoting his latest album "Blues Funeral". Lanegan started as part of the band "The Screaming Trees", he was later a part of "Queen of the Stone Age" and "The Gutter Twins". He also collaborated with "The Twilight Singers", "Soulsavers" and more.
International Education Convention
(December 10th -12th, Dan Panorama hotel, Tel Aviv)
Levinsky College of Education is responsible for the international education convention to mark 100 years since its establishment. Lecturers from overseas will speak at the convention, as well as Israeli leading Academics. The convention is open for lecture sugesstions, which will be judged according to the Academic criteria.
(December 17th -22th, Beit Dani, 4 Kabir Alley, Tel Aviv)
This festival is a celebration that offers a variety of workshops, lessons and jam sessions. The festival will end on Saturday; there will be a continuing jam during the day and a big party in the evening. The festival will give you an opporunity to dance and experience improvisation throughout the city.

Hanukka is a Jewish holiday, also known as the Festival of Lights. The purpose of this holiday is to remember the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem during the Maccabean Revolt. On the first day you light 1 candle on the Menorah, and then you gradually light an additional candle each day until the eighth day.
(December 12th, Riding 3, Tel Aviv Harbor)
This is the first international guitar festival in Israel. It's a great opportunity to watch different musical styles of the best worldwide guitar players. The guitarists Oz Noy, Preston Reed and Andy Timmons will be performing.
