Beach Cinema Festival
(July 31t-August 4th, Banana Beach, Tel Aviv)
If you're in the mood for a romantic dinner and a movie night, or just a laid back night out, you should visit the Banana Beach cinema. For a few days in August, several movies will be screened in the open beach air. This is the 6th year that the festival is taking place at Banana Beach, and the audience is welcomed to relax and enjoy a couple of hours of quality cinema in the open.
Cirque du Soleil Show
(Nokia Arena Tel Aviv, August 8th-25th)
Soleil Circus is a world renowned performance, and it's coming to Tel Aviv this August. This will be the first time that Cirque du Soleil performs in Israel, and they will be performing a show called "Alegria". This grandiose production has been running around the world for more than 17 years, and is accompanied by a magnificent soundtrack and an impressive cast of 55 artists. During two hours with one intermission, the stage of Alegria will not cease to amaze the audience with thrilling acrobatic.
(Jaffa Flea Market, Thursdays)
Every Thursday of August, the Jaffa flea market (Shuk Ha Pishpeshim) comes to life. Be sure no to miss the Pishpeshuk events, which start at 20:00 and last until midnight, and include street theatre, antiques, music, yoga and more. All of these are scattered through the alleys of the flea market at Jaffa. These events attract many visitors from each year and offer a great way to spend summer nights in Israel.
Tu Be Av
The Jewish version of Valentine's Day is celebrated on Tu Be Av (a Hebrew date). This day is all about the romance, and it comes to light in Tel Aviv in restaurants, parties and different performances; each offering a different attraction for this special day.
